More Support for Using Blogs With Students

Overnight two great blogging resources have been brought to my attention.
Getting Started with Edublogs where you will find advice on setting up a blog with Edublogs, links to posts to read about tips for using blogs with student, links to a couple of ‘manuals’ on how to blog with Edublogs, links to advice videos and links to blogs about blogs!
AND
Magic with Blogs where you will find over 100 Blogger training videos that will walk you though everything you ever wanted to know about blogger.
Really, there is an incredible amount of support out there for anyone who wants to try blogging. The ‘edubloggosphere’ (the community of bloggers who write about all things educational) really is an incredibly helpful place! There are so many people willing to give advice and help anyone out. Connect with other bloggers by leaving comments on their blogs or emailing them with questions. I will be writing more about how to create and grow a community around your blog in the next week or so, so stay tuned.
All you have to do is dive right in. I did, and have not looked back for a second. Actually, you might say I’ve become somewhat addicted. My husband would agree to that! Just to see if that was so, I took the blogging addiction test and:
81%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?
I’m writing regularly, reflecting regularly, hopefully helping and supporting other teachers, building a fantastic professional and personal network, and really enjoying myself. I guess there are worse things to be addicted to…

Glad you liked our resources for getting Started with Edublogs. Unbelievable but I failed both the Internet Addiction and Blogging Addiction quizzes last time I did them.
Apparently I can sleep well at night knowing I’m not an addict.
