My Sites and Projects

Other Blogs I write:

technoLOTE - technoLOTE is a site to support teachers of modern foreign languages, with the focus of integrating ICT into the language classroom. I also run the technoLOTE podcast.

technoChinese - This blog is for my students to showcase some of their work and for me to provide resources that students can access at home. technoChinese is going to get bigger and better in 2008 so stay tuned!

Friday Vox Pop - Each week I ask the students at my school a question about their learning and education. This podcast is available in iTunes and the supporting blog can be found here.

The Gariwerd Program - In September this year I will be one of the staff members taking around 20 students to China for 4-6 weeks to undertake action research projects and language study, all funded by the Department of Education. An incredible opportunity. Check out this blog for more info.

PSPLanguages Journey - In March I took part in the training the trainers section of the Professional Standards Projects Languages run by the Australian Federation of Modern Language Teachers Associations and The University of South Australia. This national program involves being trained to deliver 10 modules of professional development that will be delivered back in our home states. This blog outlines the journeys of some of the trainers as they prepare to deliver their modules.

ePlanks: Laying the Foundations for a Web 2.0 School - This blog is about a project I run with Anne Mirtschin at Hawkesdale P12 College with the aim to integrate more Web 2.0 technologies.
